DMBC Budget consultation 2019
People across the borough are being given the opportunity to have their say on how to spend an extra £7.5million as part of Dudley Council’s budget proposals.
The government is currently consulting on Dudley’s financial settlement but early indications suggest it will be favourable for the council which will leave an extra £7.5million to spend on services.
Members of the council are also planning to increase the rate of council tax to add to that investment, but people will still pay one of the lowest rates in the country. More information can be found here: https://www.dudley.gov.uk/news/major-investment-plans-put-to-the-public/
The government will make its final announcement on the settlement for Dudley in December. Councillors will agree the final budget in March next year after considering the results of the consultation.
The consultation runs until January 29th 2020, find more information and complete the consultation at https://www.dudley.gov.uk/council-community/get-involved/budget-consultation-2019/ or via social media if people look for #DudleyBudget.
